Kuala Lumpur, 17 March 2025 - In reducing the plight of those impacted by the recent floods that happened in Sabah and Sarawak, Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad (“Alliance Bank” or the “Bank”) today has announced that it will be extending the Flood Relief Assistance programme to help ease some of the financial burdens.
The assistance comprises options of a loan moratorium of up to six months, loan repayment modifications, and waivers of fee and charges for customers and businesses that have been affected by the flood situation in several states nationwide.
“Our primary concern is the well-being of our affected customers as we understand the emotional and financial strain on the families and businesses impacted by the flood. As The Bank For Life, Alliance Bank stands by our customers, especially during these challenging times. We hope that the Flood Relief Assistance programme will encourage them to come forward to discuss how we can help ease some of their financial burdens,” said Mr. Kellee Kam, Group Chief Executive Officer of Alliance Bank. The Bank is also assisting its employees affected by the flood to help them through this difficult time.
The Flood Relief Assistance is now open for application from now until 9 April 2025. It offers payment relief on all conventional loans and Islamic financing facilities. The Bank will also waive fees and charges for selected services such as replacement of debit card, ATM cards, cheque books and passbooks lost or damaged during the flood.
Customers can find out more about the flood relief assistance by contacting our Customer Service at
03-5516 9988 or their relationship managers directly. All requests for assistance will be assessed by the Bank on a case-by-case basis.
Additionally, Alliance Bank is also running a Flood Relief fundraising campaign via a platform under Alliance Islamic Bank, SocioBiz. The fundraising campaign, which runs now until 15 April 2025 is aimed to help those affected by the floods in Sabah and Sarawak.
This initiative invites all Malaysians to participate and support those in need. Funds raised will be directed to the Malaysian Relief Agency (MRA), a trusted partner known for its effective disaster relief efforts. In maximising the impact of the funds raised, the Bank will match every RM1 donated with RM2, effectively tripling the contributions to aid flood victims.
