Alliance Bank Extends Assistance to Customers and Employees Affected by Gas Pipeline Fire in Putra Heights

Kuala Lumpur, 7 April 2025 - Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad (“Alliance Bank” or the “Bank”) is providing a Relief Assistance programme to ease the financial burden of its customers and employees impacted by the gas pipeline fire in Putra Heights on 1 April 2025.

The programme comprises of various options of assistance, from a loan moratorium of up to six (6) months, loan repayment modifications, as well as waivers of fee and charges for customers and businesses that have been affected by the situation.

We understand the emotional and financial strain on the families and businesses impacted, and we are committed to helping them rebuild their lives. This Relief Assistance programme reaffirms Alliance Bank’s commitment in supporting our local community during this difficult period,” said Mr. Kellee Kam, Group Chief Executive Officer of Alliance Bank.

The Relief Assistance programme offers payment relief on all conventional loans and Islamic financing facilities. The Bank will also waive fees and charges for selected services such as replacement of debit card, ATM cards, cheque books and passbooks lost or damaged during the fire. The programme is open for application from now until 27 April 2025.
