Statement on Alliance Bank Staff Tested Positive for COVID-19

Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad (“Alliance Bank” or the “Bank”) today confirms that an employee of the Bank who is based at Alliance Bank Damansara Uptown branch has tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The staff also services two other branches, that is, Alliance Bank Taman Tun Dr. Ismail and Kota Damansara. He is currently receiving medical attention at a local hospital.

In line with the Malaysian Ministry of Health (“MOH”)’s guidelines, we have initiated a contact tracing exercise and notified our other employees and customers who may have had close contact with the affected employee. These employees will undergo testing for COVID-19 and remain in quarantine.

The three branches will now be closed until further notice for a thorough sanitisation exercise in accordance with MOH’s guidelines.
