Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad and Datuk Bridget Lai have today arrived at an amicable settlement of their on-going dispute. Both parties are of the view that this dispute should, in the interest of the Bank and its shareholders, be resolved.

In view of the differences of opinion between the Board of Directors of the Bank and Datuk Bridget Lai that have arisen over the last few months, Datuk Bridget Lai has decided to tender her resignation from the Bank with effect from 1 April 2010. This is a joint decision of the Bank and Datuk Bridget Lai, and the resignation is not in any way a reflection of Datuk Bridget Lai. The Bank wishes to thank Datuk Bridget Lai for her past services.
