AFG appoints three new leaders to head key positions

Kuala Lumpur, 19 October 2009 - Alliance Financial Group ("the Group") has appointed three new senior executives to the management team, to head various business units and strategic functions across the Group. The three senior hires, whose appointments were made effective recently, are Timothy Marks Daniels, Steven Kenneth Miller and Marc-Olivier Francq.

Timothy Marks Daniels joins the Group as the Head of Corporate Strategy and Business Planning. Daniels will be responsible for the Group's strategic planning and development of new business opportunities. He will also be looking at the alignment of overall business strategies in an integrated and holistic manner. He joins Alliance Financial Group, hailing from a distinguished 18-year career in various international financial institutions in the UK, USA and Singapore, with extensive experience across investment banking, consumer banking, finance and strategy.

Daniels holds a Masters in Economics from the University of Edinburgh, and an MBA majoring in Strategy, Finance, Marketing and Organisational Behaviour from the JL Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University.

Steven Kenneth Miller has been appointed the Head of SME Banking and will be responsible for the overall strategy and growth of Alliance Bank's SME Banking Division. He will be looking into programme lending, liabilities business, trade and other fee-based businesses. He has worked over 13 years in the US, Taiwan and Indonesia, and has broad experience in SME banking, credit cards, business management and marketing.

Miller holds a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University, USA.

Marc-Olivier Francq heads the Integrated Wealth Management (Consumer Banking) unit of Alliance Bank. Francq will be responsible for developing and facilitating the implementation of Alliance Bank's wealth management model across the group and businesses. A 13-year veteran in the industry, he has accumulated a wealth of experience from various international banks, with experience in credit, product management, private banking, consulting and strategy.

Francq holds a Masters in Banking and Finance from the Institut Superieur du Commerce de Paris.
