SELECTED ALLIANCE BANK BRANCHES OPEN ALTERNATE SATURDAYS

Kuala Lumpur, February 23, 2006 - Alliance Bank will continue to offer banking services on 2nd, 4th and 5th (if any) Saturdays at fourteen (14) selected branches with the exception of the branch in Mutiara Damansara which will offer banking services seven (7) days a week.

Branches with operating hours on Sat, 9.30am - 12 noon effective 24th February 2006

Branch with operating hours on Sat & Sun effective 15^th March 2006

"Our customers remain a priority and as such, we see the need to continue to offer face-to-face banking services and advisory to our customers who may have enquiries on products and services. Branches which will see business as usual on Saturdays, have been selected with care, taking into consideration the population size of the catchment areas where the branches are located. These branches are usually located in areas with high residential population as well as at shopping malls for the convenience of the consumers.

In addition, Alliance Bank remains committed to providing enhanced banking services to our customers via our online banking and Electronic Banking Centres which are equipped with a total of 139 Automated Teller Machines, 49 Cash Deposit Machines and 48 Cheque eXpress Service Machines spread across 77 branches, nationwide," says a group spokesperson for Alliance Bank. As of 24th February, Alliance Bank's new banking hours except for Mutiara Damansara, are as follows:

All Alliance Bank branches in Peninsula Malaysia except for Mutiara Damansara and Kuala Terengganu

Alliance Bank branch in Mutiara Damansara (effective 15^th March)

Alliance Bank branch in Kuala Terengganu

All Alliance Bank branches in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan

To maintain customer service levels and effective customer communications, Alliance Bank will inform all customers of the new banking hours and the availability of banking services on alternate Saturdays at selected branches via statement messages, branch notices and announcements in the website and newspapers.
