As part of Alliance Financial Group's initiative towards providing excellent customer service, a talk entitled, "Amidst the Current Turmoil" was organised for customers. Views with regards to the current economic outlook were presented to further assist SMEs in terms of their planning and managing the business. The audiences were briefed on the importance of branding in such challenging economic times and not cutting back in promotion of their own brands as this is viewed as a great opportunity to gain market share.

The Bank was awarded two prestigious technology awards, The Corporate Award for Excellence and the CEO Award for Leadership in the ASEAN Banking & Finance Sector at the Technology Business Review ASEAN Awards 2008. These awards demonstrate the Bank's continuous efforts to ensure sustainability in its IT delivery and support activities whilst incorporating the best practice framework for managing IT services.

This event recognises outstanding enterprises which have excelled in their field of expertise and helped in the growth and development of the economy.

To further improve and enhance our existing business relationship with small-and-medium sized enterprises (SMEs), the Bank's Commercial Banking hosted a Post-Budget 2009 Talk in Kuala Lumpur. Speakers from Ernst & Young, Alliance Research and the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia SMEs shared their insights and views on the industry, economy, taxation and funding with an audience of more than 200 Alliance Bank's SME customers.

Alliance Privilege Banking hosted the 'New Era for Property Investment Talk' in Penang for privileged customers in the Northern Region. The investment talk received an overwhelming response from more than 150 Alliance Privilege customers with guest speakers invited from prominent corporations, to educate and equip customers with the essential knowledge and right tools in property investment followed by a sneak preview of the current property market in Penang.
