After a successful first season of futsal and a three-month break, futsal teams took the opportunity during the off-season to recruit new team members to strengthen their teams and increase their chances in contending for the coveted title of AFG League Champion in anticipation of a better second season. Overall, more than 530 goals were scored in 110 matches; and team Devil Rays successfully defended their title!

It was truly a smashing fun-filled weekend for 110 staff who participated in the 2nd Alliance Badminton Challenge! Held over the weekend of 8 - 9 August 2009, players came from as far as Kangar, Kuantan, and Kuala Terengganu to leap, roll, dive and smash their way through some grueling matches.

Consumer Banking team chilled out on a Friday with a buffet celebration of Malaysian fruits. There were high-grade durians, rambutans, mangos teens, duku, langsat, mata kuching, bananas and cool coconut drinks to help dispel the heat. The team was seen having a tutti-fruity good time! Hosted by the Head of Consumer Banking, Liew Swee Lin, this is one of the many series of staff events that the team can look forward to, all in the spirit of fostering closer team camaraderie and a happy work environment.
