| |
Note: A person shall be covered as a Covered Person, automatically insured up to RM1,000,000/- only if he or she is:-
- Principal or Supplementary Alliance Bank Platinum Credit Cardmember in his or her name; or
- The legally married Spouse or Dependent Child under 23 years of age of any eligible person described in (a) above; and
- His/her Alliance Bank Platinum Credit Card Account is billed from Malaysia; and
- While riding solely as a passenger in or boarding or alighting from Air Common Carrier Conveyance for a Covered Trip, or being struck by such Common Carrier Conveyance; or
- While riding as a passenger in a land Common Carrier Conveyance or a scheduled helicopter operating as a "Common Carrier Conveyance", but only on the direct undeviated journey to the airport for the purpose of boarding an aircraft for a Covered Trip; or
- When leaving on the direct undeviated journey from the airport after alighting from an aircraft from a Covered Trip.

- Missed Connections
Indemnified up to RM800 for Alliance Bank Platinum Credit Cardmember and/or Covered Family Members, charges incurred in respect of hotel accommodation/meals /refreshment expenses.
- If the Covered Person's confirmed onward connecting scheduled flight is missed at transit point due to late arrival of the confirmed flight and no alternative transportation is made available within 4 hours of the actual arrival time.
- Lugage Delay
Indemnified up to RM800 for Alliance Bank Platinum Credit Cardmember and/or Covered Family Members, charges incurred in respect of the emergency purchase of essential clothing and other requisites.
- If the Covered Person's accompanied checked-in luggage is not delivered to him/her within 4 hours of the scheduled flight arrival time.
- Luggage Damage
Indemnified up to RM1,600 for Alliance Bank Platinum Credit Cardmember and/or Covered Family Members, when accompanied checked-in luggage is damaged/loss upon arrival at the abroad scheduled destination point of his/her flight.
- For each covered person we will not pay for:
- the first RM50 of each and every incident giving rise to a claim
- loss of or damage to:
- animals
- bonds, stamps, identity documents, credit and payment cards, travel documents, cash, stocks, negotiable instruments and securities or documents of any kind
- contact or corneal lenses, eye glasses, hearing aids, prosthetic limbs, artificial teeth or dental bridges or dentures.
- cosmetics of any kind
- accessories of any kind including fashion accessory
- films, tapes, cassettes, cartridges or discs, memory cards and the like
- traditional herbs, perishable and consumable goods or bottles or any subsequent damages caused as a result thereof.
- pedal cycles, wheel chairs, prams, pushchairs or baby buggies other than while they are being conveyed by public transport services and carrier.
- property more specifically insured elsewhere
- personal money and valuables composed of precious stones, jewellery, watches, furs, gold and silver articles
- fragile articles, musical instruments, sculptures and household goods.
- Handphones, pagers, portable computer equipment (including notebook computer), including personal digital assistant and its accessories, camera (including digital), video cams and binoculars.
- Sports equipment
- loss or damage due to atmospheric or climatic conditions, wear, tear or depreciation, moth or vermin, gradual deterioration, mechanical or electrical breakdown or derangement, inherent vice.
- loss or damage due to negligence on your part.
- mysterious disappearance
- loss or damage in respect of which you have received replacement or compensation either from the carrier or others.
- losses not reported to the authorities within 24 hours of discovery.
- Travel Delay
Indemnified RM200 for compensation for each full 4 hours delay and/or RM800 in total, whichever is the lesser compensation.
- If the scheduled aircraft, train, or sea vessel on which you booked is delayed in departure for at least 4 hours at any single destination stop (including transit) from the time specified in the carrier or tour operator travel itinerary during your journey from home territory or return to your home.
- This coverage only applies to scheduled carriers, which you had duly confirmed according to the carrier rules and regulations. Any delay of charter carrier is not covered.
- The number of hours delayed must be verified and confirmed in writing by the operator(s) of the carrier.
- For each covered person we will not pay for:
- Any event which is a result of:
- your failure to check in at the airport, station or port according to the travel itinerary given to you.
- your late arrival at the airport, station or port after check in or booking in time (except for the late arrival due to industrial action)
- compensation unless you have obtained written confirmation from the airline, railway or shipping line or their handling agents showing the scheduled departure time and the actual departure time of the flight, journey or sailing.
- travel delay arising from strike or industrial action which commenced or was announced before purchase of the insurance.
- failure of public transport services arising from strike or industrial action which commenced or was announced before the date of departure from your home.
- Cancellation
For each Covered Person and/or Covered Family Members we will pay:
Up to RM800 for loss of personal accommodation or transport charges and additional travel expenses paid or contracted to be paid by or for Covered Person and loss of excursion charges per-booked and prepaid in Covered Person's home territory by or for Covered Person which are not recoverable from any other source if Covered Person's trip is unavoidably cancelled at the time of departure.
The above benefits are payable in the event of the following:
- Cancellation due to Covered Person's death or death of any of Covered Person's immediate family member
- Cancellation due to confinement to Covered Person or any of Covered Person's immediate family member in a hospital arising from bodily injury or serious illness
For each covered Person we will not pay for:
- The first RM50 of each and every incident giving rise to a claim
- Any event which is the result of:
- Covered Person's failure to obtain the required passport or visa
- Any government requirement, regulation or act
- Delay caused by carrier or re-scheduling in Covered Person's home territory or the delayed departure at any point in or outside Covered Person's home territory during the journey if Covered Person choose to abandon the trip
- Act, delay or amendment of the booked itinerary or failure in the provision of any part of the booked trip including error, omission or default by the transport or accommodation provider or their agent or any person acting as Covered Person's agent of any service forming part of the booked holiday or accommodation as well as of the agent or tour operator through whom the holiday or accommodation was booked
- Covered Person arranging Covered Person's journey through an unlicensed agent
- Failure of Covered Person's own vehicle
- Covered Person's financial circumstances
- Covered Person's disinclination to travel or Covered Person's loss of enjoyment of the journey weather conditions other than severe weather conditions in Covered Person's home territory, which prevent Covered Person from getting to the airport or port in time to catch flight or ship.

- Cardmembers above the age of 70; or
- Intentional self-injury, suicide, provoked assault, intoxication, drugs, pregnancy, childbirth, pre-existing physical defect or infirmity, fits of any kind, disease, sickness of any kind; or
- Flying other than air travel as a fare-paying passenger in a licensed passenger aircraft; or
- Professional sports, hunting, winter sports, racing of any kind (other than on foot), parachuting, polo, mountaineering, water-skiing, motor cycling (as driver or passenger) ; or
- Any illegal act by or on behalf of Covered Person and/or his beneficiaries; or
- While serving as an operator or crew member of any conveyance; or
- Confiscation or requisition by Customs or other Government authority; or
- Failure to take reasonable measures to save or recover lost luggage; or
- Failure to notify the relevant airline authorities of missing luggage at the destination point and to obtain and complete a Property Irregularity Report; or
- Injury received while driving, riding as a passenger in, boarding or alighting from a rental vehicle; or
- War, invasion, Act of Foreign Enemy, Hostilities, Civil War, Rebellion, Revolution, Insurrection, Military, Usurped Power, Ionizing radiations, contaminating by radioactivity from any nuclear fuel or waste, Nuclear weapon materials.

- Written notice of all claims must be given to MSIG Insurance (Malaysia) Berhad as soon as possible but no later than 21 days after the event giving rise to the claim. All information and evidence required shall be furnished at the expense of the Covered Person or his/her personal representative.

- The following documents are required:
- Copies of record of charge forms that verifying the full fare of flight tickets were charged to Alliance Bank Platinum Credit Card; and/or
- Copies of record of charge forms that relating to expenses incurred under which the benefit is claimed; and/or
- Copy of the delayed/damaged luggage report (Property Irregularity Report) obtained from the airline for luggage delay or damage; and/or
- Full details of the expenses for which reimbursement is claimed.
